A cruise down Woodward Ave.
|
1965 GTO Sport Coupe Trying to recapture the fun of “Cruisin’ Woodward” back in 1965, Jim created his own legitimate Royal Bobcat. Starting with a pillar-coupe he added all the “right stuff”. A Tri-Power with progressive linkage, richer carburetor jets, rocker-arm lock nuts, lighter distributor springs, blocked heat-riser gaskets, an open hood scoop with matching “bathtub”, a special camshaft and even a set of Doug’s Headers. Just what was "state-of-the-art" in 1965 with its wide-ratio 4-speed and 3:55:1 Safe-T-Track rear-end it’s every bit a true tribute to what a Royal Bobcat was all about in 1965—even to the correctly placed authentic emblems and the neatly muffled engine sound. Remember that beautiful Pontiac "growl" when the "trip" were fully opened! You need to drive it!
